Casino on Dawn?

A little smoke screen being used.:D

Not looking for confrontational comments.

NCL Brochure states that "public areas throughout all NCL ships are smoke free".

I was a long time smoker... quit 11 years ago .... so I know how the smokers feel about their rights. Unfortunately there is nothing worse than a reformed smoker. :o

I know that cabins and balconies and outside decks are smoker friendly. :D

Is there a segregated area in the casino for non-smokers?

Are passageways and inside open areas smoke free?

I think that I covered areas of concern to me......hope I did not offend anyone.:(

That's an interesting statement from the NCL brochure. Unfortunately, it's not true. I've never seen a smoke-free area in any of their casinos. The best you can do is request that a specific table be designated as a "No Smoking" table. That request might be granted if the pit boss is amenable. Otherwise, smoking is very prevalent in the casino. Sorry.

As a smoker I am not offended in the least by your question. I'm sorry, but there is a huge difference between a legit question and someone WANTING to get a heated reaction from folks. Most of us can tell the difference.

To date I have not seen a no smoking area in a NCL casino. I have heard from several non-smokers that they arent really that successful unless there is an actual seperation like a glass wall, etc.

Sushi.. when you have a legit question, don't hesitate to ask if. If you get flamed, just skip to the next posting. Someone may have just misunderstood your question or intent.

It would be nice if NCL just improved the air system in the Casino enough to at least make it tolerable for non-smokers. Our last cruise I carried a small personal fan, hangs around the neck and blows air in your face. Did do a good job until a smoker noticed it and started blowing smoke in my face. I left the casino, she really saved me from losing the rest of me money.:o She was european, spoke no english, back in the day I would have made a big fuss and might have become physical, I figured what's the use.:p

I am also a reformed smoker and wish there was a seperate area but I think that would be a little hard in such a small space. I agree that they need a better air circulation system. Also, some people do not put out there butt all they way and it just burns in the ashtray which doens't help the situation any more. Just a little help here guys:o Thanks.

Anyway

The passageways are also smoke free as well as open areas such as the atruim etc. The casino and cigar bar are the only inside public area you can smoke in.

Perhaps since the casino is operated by an outside company, Casinos at Sea, it is not required to follow the specifications that NCL requires of itself. It certainly could use a better filtration system. I don't know if this has anything to do with it. Just a guess.
