invitation ideas

Hello, everyone.

 

My fiance and I are getting married aboard Carnival Legend in Tampa in November. I want to print up my own wedding invitations and I need help with the wording. We're inviting 50 people and all the guests are non-sailing. I would appreciate any suggestions.:D

Here is what I decided on, it took me a long time to find something I like. We only have immediate family sailing with us.

I did passport invites created by ana de roux. Tey were awesome. If you have facebook let me know and I can invite you to be my friend and then ic an show them too you. Here's what I put in the beginning of my invite. But the passports were great bc I was able to have a couple pages where I explained the cruise itenerary etc.

This day we begin the adventure of a lifetime

His love is the beach sunshine

that keeps me warm

To me, she's the lighthouse

during the storm

His love gave me wings

it has set me free

And wherever she is

that's where I want to be

We invite you to be with us

Hello Everyone!!!!

 

I am not doing invites for the wedding its self as we only have two people going with us but I am stumped on how to word the invites for the party/recpetion that we are throwing when we get back. Plus also I was thinking about doing Anouncements to be sent out when we get back. I am not really good when it comes to wording things. So if anyone has any out there please let me know Thanks!!!! Cant believe how fast its coming!!!

Atlanta I really dont have pics of the invites (bc im too lazy to take pics of them lol) But u can either become my friend on facebook and then look at pics on there or you can just go to ana de roux's website and see what she does but I dont think my invites are on the site. They are only on her blog and her facebook page. Just go to http://www.anaderoux.com. Also my name on facebook is ashley fleming and I am in maryland but there are like 20 ashley flemings on fb. Lemme know if you need any more help.

 

Also regarding wording for invites, stds, announcement etc... the easiest thing to do is go to google and type in wording for etc etc and you will get numeros ideas. That what I did then I basically combined two poems...

 

We're calling the whole cruise our Wedding Adventure since it's not technically a cruise wedding since I'm not getting married on the ship. So the say "This day we start the adventure of a lifetime" will go on just ab everything lol.

Wow- I am also getting married on the Pride in the port of Miami on June 20, 2009! Congrats to you!!! I'm sure we will see each other. Do you know what time your wedding is?

I am getting married on the Destiny on June 20th, from what I understand we will not know time until about 2 weeks before we sail.

Oops- I thought you were also on the Pride. The Destiny is great- we have sailed it before! I was able to find out my time (1:00) a few months ago.

I am happy to hear the Destiny is great! How did you find out your time already? Last time I spoke with the wedding people they told me so far I was the only one being married on the ship while at port, the only other wedding was on shore in Jamaica.

They told me we were also the first wedding, which they said is the 1:00 wedding.

Oh okay, I think they told me the same thing but that is as long as no one else books... I hope I get that time, that way we have time on the ship to get ready and relax a bit first =)

If Carnival does not give you a time until the last minute, what time do you put on the invites?

you put the time that you and your guests need to be at the pier if you are getting married on the day of sailing (typically 10:30am)

Wow, i am getting married in 13 days in Galveston on the Conquest...i have some questions for you,

1. How did your boquet look? i was wondering if it was really small since it is only 8 roses.

2. Was it crowded or easy for you and your guest to get parked and in the terminal.

3. Do they board you and your guests first even before all the regular passengers that show up 6 hours early for the cruise.

4. How much time did you have once on board before the wedding to get dressed and fix your hair, etc.
