I love the Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary! During the dry season Feb-May you can see thousands of migratory birds. It is one of the few places in the world that you can see the Jabiru Stork (largest bird in the western Hemisphere). The sanctuary consists of a network of inland lagoons, swamps and waterways. In the Crooked Tree Village there is a visitors center and a place to rent canoes and boats. It is quite a drive from Belize city (+/- 40 miles), but well worth the trip.
