Hapinowagain2 Posted November 26, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 26, 2004 was unable to get any information on either the Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary or the Baboon(Howler monkey) sanctuary. Can anyone help?
westcliffebob Posted November 26, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 26, 2004 Try going to Princess cruise Site----Under Ports--Bring up Belize then scroll to Crooked Tree. Maybe you you were there and I admit not much information. Wb
tweetybird Posted November 27, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 27, 2004 I love the Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary! During the dry season Feb-May you can see thousands of migratory birds. It is one of the few places in the world that you can see the Jabiru Stork (largest bird in the western Hemisphere). The sanctuary consists of a network of inland lagoons, swamps and waterways. In the Crooked Tree Village there is a visitors center and a place to rent canoes and boats. It is quite a drive from Belize city (+/- 40 miles), but well worth the trip. sns Posted November 27, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 27, 2004 I would also like info on the Howler Monkey excursion. There really isn't much out there. I have read the Princess info but would like info from someone who actually took the excursion.
