We do not like trinket/T-Shirt shopping and are tired of all the jewelry stores.... been there done that. We would love to shop in authentic Mexican stores, pottery etc and are also interested in interesting little restaurants. Having said that..... Which would be our best shopping areas to shop in both PV and Mazatlan. Sorry to include both ports, but we have the same question for both. Thanks for all your advice.

We've stayed in PV several times and really like the old town area south of the main malecon where all the tourists are. Cross the bridge over the river and you're there. Wonderful little cafes as well as shops with local artists' wares.
