mjkbaok Posted March 15, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 15, 2009 I rarely drink alcholic beverages at home, but on a cruise I like to enjoy one a day or so. I really enjoyed the Pina Coladas on Carnival a couple years ago. We are cruising on the Ruby on March 28th. What are some good drinks I should try? Not TOO strong. Remember, I don't drink much.:D
John & Kelly Posted March 15, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2009 Try the Dirty Banana..it is delicious. If you want something that does not taste strong but has high end liquor in it try the Captain's Bounty (high end Rum's) or the Beverly Hills Iced Tea (all high end liquors). Enjoy! RickEk Posted March 15, 2009 #9 Share Posted March 15, 2009 Have no fear about Princess bartenders making the drinks to strong. I see this kind of comment alot. I always make friends with a bartender (a little extra tip never hurts!) and have never had a problem with watered down drinks... in fact, the drinks are maybe too strong.. :p. Balconies R Us Posted March 15, 2009 #14 Share Posted March 15, 2009 The Mojitos are great. Sweet, limey, minty, YUM. Ask for a tall glass, for some reason they have started using the smaller ones and it just isn't the same.

Sandytoes Posted March 15, 2009 #17 Share Posted March 15, 2009 As long as your not driving, you might try the Long Island Iced Tea. Even though Princess makes weak drinks, this one's good. :D

msmoger Posted March 15, 2009 #24 Share Posted March 15, 2009 Try the martini's in the martini bar! You'll find something you'll enjoy! :D I'm sure this advice is true. However......"Martini Bars" are a pet peeve of mine. As a self proclaimed martini aficionado (check my avatar :D) I take exception to the casual use of the word "martini". These very delicious drinks mentioned above are in reality mixed drinks served in a martini glass. Martini (cocktail) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The martini is a cocktail made with gin and vermouth. Sometimes, vodka is substituted for gin, although this is properly called a vodka martini. The drink is almost always garnished with an olive or, less commonly, a sliver of lemon peel. It is often described as being "crisp" or "astringent". Over the years, the martini has become one of the most well-known mixed alcoholic beverages. H. L. Mencken once called the martini "the only American invention as perfect as the sonnet",[1] and E. B. White called it "the elixir of quietude".[2] It is the drink of the one-time "three-martini lunch" of business executives, now largely abandoned as part of companies' "fitness for duty"[3] programs. I really need to get a life!!;) Enjoy your cruise and your cocktails.
