gail811 Posted March 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2009 Not sure if anyone has posted this yet. We just drove down to Charleston SC last night for a 2 day visit and encountered a LONG construction delay in SC. Next week we will be driving down to FLL for our cruise departure, and now knowing about the construction we will be able to detour around it (I hope!) For those driving through SC heading to a FL departure be aware! From mile marker 193 to 172 there are long delays and eventually narrow to ONE LANE ONLY. We did not move at all for 1/2 hour (at 6PM...in the rain...they were still working) and crept along at 5 MPH for the next half hour. There are warning signs just before you hit the exit....TAKE THE DETOUR!
