panthersfan Posted March 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2009 I have a question for recent Valor cruisers. We are on the 3/29/09 sailing. A friend of my father said they just got off the Valor last Sunday and went to Costa Maya instead of Roatan. Anyone know if this was a regular scheduled stop or due to some issue in Roatan. We like both ports either way, but just wondering if anyone heard anything.
goldencruiser Posted March 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2009 It just depends on the week. The itinerary changes from week to week. I believe the Valor does three different routes. Two different western and one eastern route.

GoldenCruiser is right, the ship alternates between Grand Cayman-Cozumel-Belize-Roatan, Grand Cayman-Costa Maya-Belize-Cozumel, then the Eastern Caribbean cruise. kicia Posted March 19, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 19, 2009 The Carnival Valor is now only doing Western Caribbean cruises. The last Eastern was 2/22/09. There are only 5 scheduled cruises in 2009 that call on Costa Maya instead of Roatan - 3/8; 3/22; 10/18; 11/1; and 11/15. I don't know why but I asked John Heald that same question on his blog today.
