lookin4ward Posted March 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2009 For family reasons we haven't been on a cruise in almost 2 years. We usually do 2 a year. Anyhow, I was just wondering if any new perks have been added for us platinum passengers? Sounds greedy I know, but don't you just love em? Chigirlcruzin Posted March 21, 2009 #10 Share Posted March 21, 2009 Thanks for the additions.... I don't know how I missed those....guess the ole memory just ain't what it used to be.... Hey, it's old hat to you:) You've been getting the perks so long they probably don't seem like perks anymore:p The purser's line and priority tendering, along with VIP boarding, are the perks I'm most looking forward to using. I won't take advantage of the wash and fold. I wash all my stuff in cold and line dry.
jaxonboy Posted March 21, 2009 #11 Share Posted March 21, 2009 Is there a link on the Carnival site that shows specifically what Platinum members receive? the website is http://www.carnival.com/CMS/static_templates/concierge.aspx This has a list of all of the platinum benefits you get on every cruise plus platinum milestone awards. The laundry service is great, put the bag on your bed in the morning and it will be back before the early seating the same day. They do a good job. You can do it every day. This does reduce the contents of your luggage! My wife loves it, so I do too! :)

WECRUISE4US Posted March 21, 2009 #21 Share Posted March 21, 2009 No, This really isn't my 1st post. Think about it, been on 13 Carnival cruises so far. Just changed internet providers and new email address. But what the heck, let's start fresh and new. And oh by the way, just got off Ecstasy on March 7th and yes still the thermos'. We gave these to our son and daughter-in-law.:):)
CynamonKis Posted March 21, 2009 #22 Share Posted March 21, 2009 I'm sorry to sound ungrateful, and I admit I'm not aware of the other programs offered by other cruise lines, but I'm not impressed by the Platinum offerings. The VIP treatment is given when you book a Suite, as well as to Platinum guests and we typically do book suites when we travel. I'd think Carnival would give you an extra 10% discount once reaching Platinum, or something more substantial....
MEOWSMURPHY Posted March 21, 2009 #23 Share Posted March 21, 2009 I have a question for seasoned platimum cruisers..we turned platinum this past cruise..I know that we get priority tender, but couldn't figure out how this was handled...do you just "ditch" the line or do you tell an employee and they take you to the head of the line? We waited in line in Belize in Feburary but this summer I'm having a knee replaced and I'm not looking forward to standing for 30 -40 minutes to get on a tender...anyone know?? Thanks, Emmy
