TAXI to Civitavecchia???

We know about taking the train and RomeCabs from Rome to Civitavecchia. But does anyone knoww if there is a set price for a regular taxi to take you? It seems that they have a set price from Rome to FCO that is about the same as RomeCabs. Any information is welcome. Thank you.

The prices from FCO to Rome are government controlled. Going to Civitavecchia, you move outside the 'boundaries' of Rome, and therefore the price controls. I doubt that you will find a 'flat rate'.

Ouch, this sounds like a REALLY expensive plan. I'd suggest the train personally.

Our hope is to hook up with others to share a private ride, or if not, we will take the train. I just like to have as much information available for each port, in case I need a Plan B (or sometimes, even C or D).
