Zaandam Lower Promenade cabins

We've booked a low-priced cruise this spring, HH category on the Lower Promenade deck -- an obstructed view, but only a few steps to go out on the promenade deck, so it seems a good choice, with economy in mind.

I've read that due to noise considerations, we should avoid being under the Galley, so we're reserved further back under the Rotterdam dining room. That seems a better bet than under the show lounge, in terms of likely noise that could disturb sleep.

Any input will be appreciated!

We had an HH fully obstructed view on the Amsterdam, under the galley. It was fine. We hardly heard anything - and I am a light sleeper. The access to the Promenade deck on an Alaska cruise was great.

We were on the lower promenade deck on Amsterdam last fall in a similar cabin. The only noise issue we has was a slamming exterior door. We were in the cabin adjacent to the exterior hallway, and that #$@! door made itself known regularly. Avoiding that situation would be my only advice.

We really didn't have a problem with the obstructed view. You'll be able to see the things you really need to see (weather, in port or not, etc).

Good luck and have fun!
