Noumea - Restaurants

We are on the Dawn Princess in Noumea on 26th May 2009. Whilst there we are meeting up with a friend we meet on our Rhapsody of the Seas cruise back in Dec 2007. She is from Canberra and it is also her birthday so we want to take her out to a nice restaurant for a birthday lunch whilst there. Can anybody recommend anywhere nice, with water views etc etc.

Thanks

Mark

Try Dukes, at Lemon Bay, Mark. We went there for dinner on my first cruise on Pacific Sky when we get into Noumea late and our shore tours were cancelled and replaced with a bus shuttle service to the restuarant strip at Lemon Bay. The food was lovely, the service excellent (there was only 2 or 3 staff on for what they expected to be a quiet Monday evening and they coped wonderfully with the unexpected rush of cruise ship passengers) and reasonably priced.
