Athens dilema

Recommended Posts

Paul's son took good care of me the last time I was in Athens (I was recovering from surgery, so I made use of his services rather than taking public transportation as I usually do). Prompt, polite, funny, great story teller, spotless cars. I will use him again the next time I am in Athens and need a car/driver.

I have to say that with all the pedestrianized streets created in the historical core and updated metro, I do not understand why, unless you have physical disabilities, you would hire a taxi to see Athens. These gentlemen are not licensed tour guides and cannot accompany you into any of the sites. In addition, these sites are so close together, and traffic outside the pedestrian zones is so dreadful, it is much easier to walk.
