sbrito Posted March 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2009 This is probably a silly question but I'm just curious. We just changed our cabin from a deluxe oceanview with veranda to a CC room. The deluxe oceanview has "Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors" while the CC room has "Floor-to-ceiling glass-paneled door." What's the difference between sliding glass and glass paneled??? Silly question I know. This is our first cruise though and I want everything to be perfect!
tom_uk Posted March 24, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2009 What's your new cabin number? Century was originally built with just one deck of balcony cabins. In 2006 she had a major refit - a hugely-expensive major refit - and balconies were added to 300+ other cabins (among other changes). It's possible that the Deluxe Balcony cabin you were in originally was one of the new ones, and the CC cabin you're in now is one of the older ones. Or vice versa. Or, of course, it could just be that loose editing of the brochure allowed different descriptions of the same feature to appear.

tom_uk Posted March 24, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 24, 2009 My new cabin number is 9164. If your original 'Deluxe oceanview with veranda' was on Panorama deck 9cabin number 8xxx) then it was definitely one of those with the balcony added in 2006. 9164 looks as if it always had a balcony.
