Sunbeam56 Posted March 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2009 Has anyone taking the ship's excursion (Vision of the Seas) - Catamaran, Sail, Snorkel & Beach Cruise in Antigua in February or March? We are leaving this weekend and I was wondering if you felt safe on it. I have read of 2 catamaran accidents - one in Dominican Republic and one in Riviera Maya. It seems that there is big waves this winter in the Caribbean. We wanted to take the Pirates of Antigua, but they will stop for the snorkeling only if the weather permits. I do not have any problems with that. I prefer being safe than sorry.
DougYWG Posted March 24, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2009 Relax, you'll be fine. I did Wadadli Cats two weeks ago and never even thought of feeling unsafe, it was great. There are a number of operators in Antigua but I don't know which one Vision would be using. Regardless, they all have similar, large cats. I think you are most unlikely to have heavy seas, and if you did they would cancel.
