naylenk Posted March 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2009 Hi On the itineraries for HAL Volendam and Zuiderdam, they both say cruising Tracy Arm and Glacier Bay. Are those "at sea" days or are you off the ship in port for those?
agabbymama Posted March 25, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2009 Yes, they are at sea days, no ports in either Tracy Arm or Glacier Bay.
eh2zed Posted March 25, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 25, 2009 They should say Scenic cruising. The ship will glide into the bay, stop for periods of time, rotate and leave. Naturalist interpreters will speak over the PA system to explain what you are seeing, etc. They are not sea days in the typical sense but there are no ports. Budget Queen Posted March 25, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2009 It is fantastic scenic sailing. The highpoint of your cruise, in my opinion. :)
