micbooth Posted March 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2009 I am trying to book a cruise on the Carnival Spirit and have a good deal on a balcony and the Upper Deck Obstructed View. Are the tenders there is you can't see anything from the balcony? Help me please!!! Have to book today! Thank you for any input! Mick

cathalane Posted March 25, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 25, 2009 You'll be able to see out, but not down (and also, during your cruise you might see some crew members working on the boats). The cabins that are more forward have the shorter boats, but your views won't be completely obstructed no matter what cabin you get... I think the highest boats come up to the railing of your balcony... (I just checked the deck plans and the 7A obstructed on the upper level are the balcony cabins, not the french doors - you will definitely be able to go out onto your balcony) Also, here is an example of your view: Although this is cabin #5236, and it has a HUGE balcony - if that cabin is available, you should ask for it... Good luck!
