Another stupid question

Okay doing my luggage tags for this Sat on the Gem.....dumb question, do you put them on your carry ons too or just the bags you will "check". Also i know you put your address on there, but do you also put a phone number? Thanks

i put my phone number (of the cell i have with me) and leave off the address. the phone number helps them call you if lost luggage is found somewhere where it's not suppose to be. i use my husband's business address, since i don't want anyone knowing my house is empty while i am on a cruise.

You only need to put them on the bags you're handing over at the port. I will be handing over my carry-on also because I don't want to carry it around. I also use the TSA approved luggage locks - on all bags.

 

Instead of putting your address on the tags, just put your name and cell phone #. It's considered safer, I hear.

FYI... nothing wrong with the TSA approved locks...I also use them...but the TSA does not do baggage inspection for cruise ships.

We don't use locks cause it only invites damage. We put tags on all our luggage in case someone "moves" a carryon while out of sight waiting for our staterom to be available.
