Luggage in Whittier

When we sailed on Princess, we took the Princess bus to the Captain Cook Hotel in Anchorage and retrieved our luggage there.

 

We will arrive on the Carnival Spirit this time and taking a private transportation company back to Anchorage. Will we be able to retrieve our luggage dockside in Whittier or do we have to pick it up at a location in Anchorage? I know that we can do self-assist and carry all our own luggage, but that is not a very appealing choice since there are 5 of us.

I'm assuming that they give you colored tags depending on where you want to pick up your luggage.
