RiverRev Posted March 31, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2009 I want to plan a cruise in September, 2010 and i am waiting for the Caribbean itineraries to come out. I am looking through the list and wondering what's left to sail the Caribbean and where they will embark? Voyager, Navigator, and Adventure are in the Med. Mariner stays on the West Coast? Explorer has a lucrative run from NYC. That's the 5 Voyager class. Liberty is in the Med that leaves Freedom and Independence. Will they put a Freedom ship in San Juan or leave that port to smaller ships? Will one of these ships alternate with the Oasis on the East West run? Do you think they abandon Port Canaveral? I look forward to your speculation :)
BroncosFan2010 Posted March 31, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2009 Serenade and Adventure are leaving from San Juan. Both are doing alternative routes on an every other week rotation. Makes for GREAT back to back itineraries!
Toddcan Posted March 31, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 31, 2009 I've seen several people state that Freedom has a 5 year contract in Canaveral. It JUST moved there, replacing the Mariner that went to California. Judging from the prices I'm seeing for summer 09, Freedom is a huge money maker for RCI where it is. GXmanDC Posted March 31, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 31, 2009 They haven't released the schedules that far out for most of the ships. Explorer will stay in NJ. Freedom is supposed to head to Port Canaveral. Oasis and, eventually, Allure will be in FLL.
wrp96 Posted March 31, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 31, 2009 Let's see your summer Caribbean choices will be: Serenade will be in San Juan instead of Alaska like she is this year. Freedom will be at Port Canaveral. Explorer will be at Cape Liberty. Oasis will be in Ft. Lauderdale. That leaves Liberty (probably in Miami), Granduer, and Enchantment plus Monarch and Majesty doing the Bahamas runs if they are still in the fleet.
