C & A status and Celebrity

Wasn't there a thread a couple of weeks ago about possibly being able to use your C & A status on a Celebrity cruise? It might have been for diamond members only. Did this thread really happen or is it just wishful thinking on my part?

At this point the two lines loyalty programs are still separate. It was explained to us that the accountants will have to figure out a way to combine the two programs before it happens, because all the perks would have to be carried as liabilities for both lines. Don't know if that makes any sense, but that's what we were told by a senior officer on our November cruise. I would definitely like to see them combined - it would be an incentive to try Celebrity for us, as we've cruised RCI over 20 tiems.

Thanks Bill. I'm also looking foward to the combining of the two. So far, I've only sailed RCI but am so tempted to sail celebrity. RCI keeps me loyal to them by offering all the wonderful perks.

They keep talking about it but they have never done anything. It would seem that they would need to create some new award categories since many people sail both lines and have already topped out.
