HAL Volendam Where Does It Dock In Shanghai

I will be on Holland America's Volendam Hongkong to Hongkong in the fall of this year. I wish to know where this ship docks in Shanghai and how far it is to get to The Bund (downtown Shanghai). It seems the smaller ships dock at the International Cruise Terminal about 1/4 mile from the Bund and the larger ones dock about an hour or so away by bus. Anyone done a HAL cruise to Shanghai and can enlighten me?

Volendam is definitely small enough to dock at the terminal. It would all depend if any other ship was in port. I know that on circle pacific 2008 Amsterdam docked our at the container port. We sailed from the terminal on Legend.

 

One reason they may use the container dock if not overnighting is it takes a long time to sail up/down the river, possibly more time than it takes to dock downstream and get people off on tours and in to the city.

 

Maybe try and contact the terminal itself? One of our fellow cruisers called the terminal and they were able to confirm what Royal Caribbean wasn't
