Labadee pier progress on March 15

I took this on March 15 on the Jewel.

 

 

This was taken going into the bay, facing Hideaway Beach (I think thats the name) which is obviously closed now.

Thanks so much for posting this great photo. We will be stopping at Labadee once again this summer. (and I surprised myself and truly enjoyed it the last time!)

We just starting looking at RCI for our next cruise. Will the ships be able to dock at the new pier? That would be a huge improvement over tendering!

Yes, starting in December with the first Oasis sailing (8 months from tomorrow), ships will be able to dock at Labadee instead of tender.

Well, I don't know much about construction, so I don't know exactly what they might be doing, but there didn't seem to be a lot of activity when we were there.

They did however, muck up the water enough to make snorkling impossible. Not that snorkling was ever much good there anyway.

 

I was on the same cruise and you have made me yearn to be back there!
