Late Day in Port - What to do?

We are leaving on our cruise in a few weeks and we are in Cozumel until 10:00 pm. We have excursions planned during the day but I have a few questions being in port late in the day?

 

Is Cozumel a safe place to be walking around after dark?

 

What is there to do until 10:00?

 

Of course we can always go back onto the ship, but we'll be on the ship every other night.

 

Any suggestions?

Cozumel is one of my favorite ports and Im excited that it is on our trip again..

 

It is a very fun city, with lots of shopping and a great BAR scene real close to port.....You will have a blast

Perfectly safe to walk around, enjoy the sights around the plaza and try out a local restaurant like La Choza, Casa Denis, or Prima. We've eaten at them all and others and enjoyed our meals. Go to thisismycozumel dot com or cozumelmycozumel dot com for info. Enjoy

We are also arriving late in port not arriving until 1pm. This is our first cruise. What kind of excursions can you book that late in the day? Any help would be appreciated.

Have you thought about doing a private tour? and then you could hang out at one of the bars near the ship.
