Restaurant Charges - When..?

Perhaps a dumb question, but when do you pay the charge at the pay restaurants? Is it when you reserve, when you are there, or is it just charged to your onboard account? - Thanks.

Going on the Dawn to Bermuda in August.

Going on the Dawn to Bermuda in August.

 

At the end of your meal, they will bring you a charge slip to sign - it is added to your on board account.

Not a dumb question at all. Wish I had asked it before we ate at a surcharge restaurant...

...it would have saved the poor server a racing heart and a short jog :o:D

LOL.. and trust me... try to get up and leave without signing the slip and the Maitre D' will chase you down. On our cruise to Alaska Doug became a bit seasick during our dinner at Cagneys and just as the waiter brought us our main course I had to ask him to hurry up and bring us our bill to sign. He rushed it to us and we got up and rushed out of Cagneys and as we got to the elevator, here came the Maitre D' rushing after us, red faced and waving the black folder thing that the bill was delivered to us in. He thought we had just gotten up without signing it and was chasing us down. LOL.. the poor waiter was running after him saying "no no.. they signed it they signed it.."..LOL.. it was too funny.
