Hotel Feedback

Hello! Looking for some feedback on the hotels I've booked in NO.

 

Precruise 2/25 & 2/26 we will be staying at the Holiday Inn Superdome. We chose that hotel because we are running the Mardis Gras Marathon on 2/27 (the morning the cruise leaves) and the marathon begins and ends at the Superdome. Close proximity to the finish line of the marathon was a priority for me.

 

Post cruise 3/6 & 3/7 we are staying at Quality Inn Maison St. Charles-1319 St. Charles Avenue.

 

Thoughts?

We are staying there next Friday night 12/10. They have a shuttle to the pier also. I will let you know when we get back, but it sounds good.

Do you have any more information on the shuttle to the pier they provide? It's very rare to find a hotel in New Orleans that will bring you to the pier so I am very interested.......Thanx

We stayed there on 12/10. Yes, they have a shuttle. It picked us up at the train station, took us to French Quarter and picked us up there, and then on 12/11 took us to the pier. It was very busy, but also very nice. I will definitely stay there again!

A couple of good websites for travel reviews are epinions.com and tripadvisor.com Of course, you can get totally conflicting reviews to make it more confusing!

Yes, the shuttle was free. You need to sign up for the pier shuttle at the conceirge(sp?) desk, but there was no charge for any of the trips we made on it.:)
