differences between VA/VB/VE/VF

I have been looking at deck plans and can't figure out why there are so many different designations for all V type cabins. Anyone know? I am guessing a few more square feet but it doesn't seem like it looking at deck plans.

It's primarily location (HAL thinks higher cabins are more desirable to many people), but there's a few other differences:

 

* VF cabins 4042 and below have only steel-walled railings (instead of plexiglas) which blocks viewing while seated.

* VE & VF cabins on deck 5 have only a 4.5 ft deep balcony, while side VA/VB/VC cabin have a 6 ft deep one. Also the deck 5 VE&VF overlook the lifeboats.

* VH and many deck 4 VF cabins are very far forward (bouncy location) and are right over the show lounge (sometimes noisy)

* VEs cost more than VFs because more people desire mid-ship cabins

 

If I think of any more differences, I'll be back to edit!

VD cabins are on deck 4 and have deeper balconies than most of the V cabins.
