Best activities for a photographer?

My mother-in-law and my daughter (also an adult) will be going with us on a cruise to St. John / St. Thomas and Tortola. Both of them have an obsession with photography and really nice cameras. I think they're both hoping for opportunities to take some nature/wildlife/beach photos, so I'm looking for any recommendations for natural settings with leisurely walking tours. Self-paced would be a plus.

I know these islands are spectacular just about everywhere you go, but are there any locations that are particularly photogenic?

We're also going in June (!!!), so heat is going to be an issue, I think. (I can hear the "o rly? u think?!" already. :D)

(x-posted to St. John / St. Thomas board -- hope that's okay)

You will find amazing photo opportunities all over Tortola. I would recommend a driving tour, it's easy to make arrangements with one of the many taxi's you will find just a short way off the pier. opportunities abound.
