I would like to see a black sand beach.

There are several black sand beaches on Hawaii, even a green one I've heard, but the one I loved the best on the south coast was covered by a new lava flow several years ago. It also covered some ancient lava rock foundations. The one at the end of the road in the north you get to by climbing down a very steep path ( fairly easy) and it's a beautiful area. Climbing up again ( not easy ) isn't nearly as much fun. I believe it's Pololu (sp?) valley it looks into.
