Jonas Brothers at Atlantis

Anyone have any guesses to whether a Jonas Brothers concert at the Atlantis would make it really crowded and crazy? There are already 4 ships in port that day - expected passenger load of 10,600+/-

This will be the first cruise since our honeymoon for dh and I without kids and extended family. We have only 1 other stop on this short cruise - Coco Cay. So that will be our main beach day.

We were looking for something a bit different to do in Nassau, not spend the day at a beach. We aren't much into snorkeling - we both wear glasses and would prefer to save that for when we have kids with. Plus - our ship doesn't arrive until noon, and departs at 11:30 PM - so we would be too late for private snorkel tours.

We were considering visiting Atlantis, to see the aquarium, DIGS etc. but not really interested if it is likely to be overrun with preteen & teen kids because of the concert. (My own dds are 9 and 11;))

Any other suggestions? The Segway tour? Pirates? Kayaks? Comments?

Atlantis will be a zoo when the Bros. are in town.. especially with 4 ships in port.

Try the Wyndham... or a great sail and snorkel tour.

Thanks - you confirmed my suspicion. I happened to check the Nassau website and saw the advertisement for Jonas Bros. - added a concert May 9th! My guess was that would make an already busy place even busier - filled with just the age of kids I left at home .

If we would rather not snorkel - but see something of Nassau what would you recommend?

You mentioned a sailing tour - any in particular? Note we don't get into port until rather late - noon.

All the sailing tours are snorkeling tours as well. Barefoot Sailing might have something for you.. just do a google search.

Late arrivals are a bit difficult, as the "day pass" is not really worth it most of the time.

You might think of just relaxing at the British Colonial Hilton nearby. ($20pp). They are drink service on the beach.. and a small quiet pool. Not very kid friendly.. so it remains quiet.

It's just up the wharf from the port.

When are they suppose to be there? We'll be there on May14th. Thanks for the help.

April 18th and May 9th are the concert dates. The immediate day's surrounding. Both weekends should be a zoo.

Cindi Lauper will be on stage May 23rd.

Performers don't stay at Atlantis.. so that helps keep the "frenzy" away.

We just want to look around at Atlantis, not do the water parks, just sight see. Do you think this would be o.k. on May 14th?

Non-guests are allowed in the casino and lobbies and the marina village.. they are not allowed on the grounds without a pass. You won't be able to view the sharks, turtles and other lagoons on the property.. but there is a small portion of the aquarium viewable at the great hall of waters cafe.
