Taking a COMPLETE Tour of the Ship

I've asked my rep at Carnival this before. They stopped allowing tours to engineering due to security concerns. I have heard of a few on this board who were given a tour by meeting with the Chief Engineer and asking nicely. I doubt they would allow photography, though. Good luck.

Can it happen?

I know that they do a Galley tour, but I'm more interested in the Engineering spaces and the Bridge.

What are my chances?

Near ZERO, Security.

In room TV will show all the ship spaces, not the same but something.

You can buy a video on the ship that shows this. While bridge tours still do occur, it is a matter of who you know. Since 9/11, they have been restrictive of who gets to go.

The general policy is that it is no longer offered.

We'll see if it comes to fruition, but, yes, Carnival has recently given some consideration to offering future onboard ship tours to areas that are currently considered off-limits to passengers (including bridge and engine room).

CCL did, however, make mention of these being for-a-fee tours.

When asked by CCL if I'd consider any of them as a "paid onboard tour", I replied with a definite Yes to the engine room info session. I'd probably only do it once ever, but I'd certainly do it. Here's hoping it happens in the future.
