stateroom sizes

DCL always says it has the biggest staterooms, but it's hard to compare when other cruise lines say the sq ft of the cabin + balcony sq footage. Anyone know if the sq footage Disney quotes includes the balcony or is it just the cabin itself? Thanks!

Depends on what site you are looking at for deck plans. To compare..... Look at a cat. 8 & a cat.6 to see what the difference is. The cat. 6 & 8 are the same size, just that the 6 has a verandah. Hope that helps. I think you posted another thread as well. Asking about the cat. 4; right? DCL rooms are bigger than let's say Carnival & RCCL. They have split baths in cat. 10's and higher and they also have more space in front of the sofas from the layout of the room...... The standard staterooms are actually made though to hold two adults and 2-3 kids. Once we find out what your party size is I can help you more.....;)
