kicker Posted April 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2009 Intriguing post and title.... no clues as to whether it'll be positive or negative. Me, personally: six RCI cruises, loved every single one. The review boards have been slow - it might take a while for your review to show up.

cruisedawgg Posted April 8, 2009 #8 Share Posted April 8, 2009 Don24 - Reading the other post about the Noro on FOS, someone said that lots of people on Deck 8 aft were ill. Just curious, since you were affected (and infected!) what deck / location were you staying? edit: I'm on FOS in 3 weeks and wanted to know all i can about the outbreak. kicker Posted April 8, 2009 #11 Share Posted April 8, 2009 Just got around to reading it - very sorry for your problems. Some thoughts: do you think the large number of kids contributed to the spread of the Virus? No offense to kids, but they're less likely than adults to be careful about sharing/washing hands, etc., and more likely to be using equipment (video games & such) that was touched by others with the Virus. I would say that you should definitely check school schedules before you cruise again - our last cruise on Grandeur had fewer young people than any cruise I've been on before. That being said, we usually cruised with our own kids when they were in high school and had to cruise during school breaks. The only bad thing I ever witnessed was our first cruise - kids getting free food at Johnny Rockets, taking a bite and throwing it overboard (I wasn't surprised when they starting charging for JR after seeing that). Your review, I think, is fair to RCI. On our Grandeur cruise they didn't have any sanitizing wipes or sprays, but mentioned they would be put out in the event of illness. We got lucky - you were very unlucky, and I hope your luck is better in the future.
