Discount for booking cruise onboard ship

Does anyone know if Carnival gives onboard credit or a discount for booking your next cruise while taking a cruise? We are taking a cruise in April and we were thinking of booking another cruise. Thought maybe we could get a better deal if we booked it then. Thanks.

We have booked on board ship for our upcomming cruise and the last cruise we took. Prices are the same as the Carnival site, but they do offer a $100 on board credit for the sailing you are booking and guaranteed dinning times as well. When we get home we transfer the booking to our local TA.

 

A warning however last time we never recieved our on board credit, they had no info on it that we should have recieved any. So this time we will be sure to have our paperwork stating that we get on board credit. We did get extra compensation after returning from our last cruise because of the mix up.
