Shogun Posted April 10, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2009 Hi All, Staying Miami for two nights November over a weekend looking for a hotel with beech view if possible. Do not want to spend more on hotel than cruise, any thoughts of where to stay. yours Shogun
JohninDC Posted April 11, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2009 Check out the priceline thread at the top of this page and easyclick for discount prices for your dates. The Holiday Inn near POM and Hyatt downtown are popular hotels mentioned on these boards that may fit you needs. With two weekend days, I suggest that you avoid airport area hotels and enjoy Miami. You might get a good weekend deal on a hotel that caters primarily to business travellers. Good luck!:)
eandj Posted April 11, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2009 You won't get a view of the beach at downtown locations. Some people like to stay at a hotel within site of the port.(downtown) However you won't see beaches and since you will be in Miami for two days, I wouldn't stay downtown because there is nothing there but big city. You want to see beach?....head your research to the South Beach area. Perfect for walking, shopping, dining, people watching and really getting a feel for the Miami life you have heard about. Since you are going in November, unless it is Thanksgiving time when families might be vacationing, you should be able to find some decent rates. One hotel that is generally moderate priced for the area is the Doubletree Surfcomber. Excellent location! Try that one. You can search this forum for other hotels. Some being much higher priced and fancier than others. Good luck and have a great time!
