Breezey Posted April 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2009 We leave May 11th from San Francisco. First two days are at sea. So wondering for those who have gone early to mid May, if the weather may be good enough for morning breakfast on the balcony? Yes I know to google the weather reports closer to the date but..... Plus, what can we expect "to see at sea" those first 2 days en route to Ketchikan our first port?
Budget Queen Posted April 14, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 14, 2009 You'll be eating in jackets and hot food will be cold fast.
Yukon Posted April 14, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2009 You'll see little or nothing but water, and rough seas are common in early May.

TonyFred Posted April 14, 2009 #5 Share Posted April 14, 2009 The ocean can be quite beautiful, regardless of whether you can see land or not. Catch the sunrise and sunset. You wont regret it.
twobluecats Posted April 15, 2009 #6 Share Posted April 15, 2009 Breezey, we are on this cruise with you, and we cruised this route from San Diego a few years back. We had (and have again) an aft-facing balcony and dined for breakfast every morning on our balcony without being uncomfortable at all. We cruised exactly two weeks later in May. So, think positive and know that it is possible to have a nice breakfast on your balcony if the weather conditions are right.
