keishashadow Posted April 15, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2009 Mulling over either combo Mendenhall/Whale tour or one in Prince Rupert (both thru NCL) Wondering if any advantage to either as to sightings, etc. Was thinking of going with trying to see the whales in Prince Rupert, allowing for more time @ Mendenhall (which i assume we could find transport to on our own vs pricer ship excursion?) & ability to then work in tramway. any suggestions most welcome:)
Budget Queen Posted April 16, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2009 This is a FAR better option out of Juneau, where you see humpbacks 100% of the time. Prince Rupert is at the outer fringe of the Vancouver Island northern resident pods. Humpbacks??? iffy.
keishashadow Posted April 16, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted April 16, 2009 thanks again, i noticed that the $100 refund for non-sightings is only referenced in Juneau:)
