caribill Posted April 17, 2009 #27 Share Posted April 17, 2009 Actually the comment cards are titled: "You Made A Difference". They are available at the Purser's Desk. Any number of cards may be filled out. It can be handed out to the Employee (who gives it to his/her boss) or dropped in a box in front of the Purser's Desk. It is best to just deposit the card at the Purser's desk. The feedback will go through proper channels and will get back to the employee. We had tried a couple of times to hand it to the employee and the person acted as if they had no idea what to do with it.
mzredhead Posted April 18, 2009 #28 Share Posted April 18, 2009 What would be an appropriate tip per person above the automatic tip given?
jagsfan Posted April 18, 2009 #29 Share Posted April 18, 2009 Thanks for the answer on the comment cards......I'll sure make use of them. Any recognition these hard working people get can only help them in the future.

sultan_sfo Posted April 21, 2009 #31 Share Posted April 21, 2009 It is so much an individual preference and very difficult to answer for any time dining. We do traditional and most of the extra are given at the last day. We budget an extra 50% over and above the auto-tip amount but may distribute the extra unevenly depending on which service went above and beyond. We are about median (half-way) in the extra tips based on posts hers. What would be an appropriate tip per person above the automatic tip given? Grego Posted April 21, 2009 #32 Share Posted April 21, 2009 Just like in Traditional dining, if the waitstaff has gone above and beyond, they deserve an additional tip. Have a great cruise! This should be the rule to follow here and other areas of the ship when you get "above and beyond" what is expected. We follow this rule.
