Gail706 Posted December 3, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2004 Does anyone know if you pay the third person charge for an infant?
DEL67 Posted December 3, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2004 It may depend on the cruise, but I believe that my nephew paid just port and taxes for his 18 month old on our recent cruise.
Elaine515 Posted December 3, 2004 #3 Share Posted December 3, 2004 Gail, I agree with DEL... My niece and nephew will be 22 months old when they cruise and my sister has to pay just the port charges and taxes for them. But I believe that only applies if the 3rd/4th is 2 years or under. gizfish Posted December 4, 2004 #4 Share Posted December 4, 2004 NCL is the only cruise line that doesn't charge the fare for an infant, only the port charges and government fees.
Pikaia Posted December 4, 2004 #5 Share Posted December 4, 2004 Yup, just port fees and taxes for kiddos under 24 months. For our upcoming 8 day cruise, we paid $200 for our daughter. I contacted various travel agents for quotes, and some of them were unaware of NCL's policy of charging only port fees and taxes for the little ones and wanted to quote me the 3rd passenger rate. I insisted that they contact NCL to get correct information. (However, one of the reps I talked to at NCL also didn't know of the policy, and only believed me after she did a test booking!) :) Carolyn
