UK Electrical Appliances onboard the Grand

Hiya

If this been asked before, then apologies!

With the voltage being different in the UK to the US is just bringing a adaptor ok or do we need to bring a voltage converter (if so, any1 any idea where can buy 1).

We will be bringing a travel Kettle & Hair Straightners, n will need to charge mobile phones n ipods x2.

We just take the adaptor. However we found the travel kettle took a little longer to heat up than when we were on Sea Princess which has a UK voltage socket as well as the US voltage one. Don't know about the straighteners. My hair dryer as dual voltage and worked just like at home - the one on the ship is useless:( DH's ipod speakers/charger worked perfectly on Ruby (similar same class of ship as Grand) and it did not seem to take long to charge up the mobile and camera batteries - if you have a lot of gadgets bring a socket strip with you.

It normally says on the chargers what power they can take if it's dual voltage it will probably show something similar to 110 - 240 on the label.
