Just off the Emerald......

We just got off the Emerald yesterday and the entire cruise was amazing. This was our second time on the Emerald. We were upgraded to a mini-suite and of course now we are spoiled and are booking a mini-suite for our April 2010 cruise. Our room steward Dexter was awesome. He was very quick and efficient. We ate in Crown Grill 2 nights as we were celebrating our anniversary and my husbands birthday. The first night, our server was David from Mexico and he was fantastic. The second night we had Robert from somewhere and he was boring. (I guess that is why I can't remember where he was from), but the food on both nights were outstanding!! There were a lot more children on this cruise than have been on past cruises we have been on. We go the same time every year. MUTS was showing: Doubt, MAMA MIA, Twilight, Quantum of Solace, Bedtime Stories, Australia, Seven Pounds, Secret Life Of Bees, Yes Man and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. We saw Fernandez who did a Hypnotic show. This was the funniest thing we have ever seen. What he had those people do, was hilarious!! We also saw Carl Strong, who is a comedian who has been on HBO and Showtime. He also was the opening act for Gladys Knight for 11 years. Very funny man. He didn't care if you were black, white, Asian, thin, fat. There was a joke about every kind. We also saw Uber Rossi, who is a comic and performer. He was in the Piazza a couple of nights and was very good.

Our favorite shore excursion was in Barbados. We did the 5 star caterman and swam with the turtles. It was amazing. The turtles came right up to you. We got to touch them, they were so close. The crew of the caterman were awesome. We also enjoyed our shore excursion in St Kitts, once it got started. We found St kitts shore excursions to be a bit unorganized and started 30 minutes late. We went to Brimstone Fort and this was absolutely breath taking. St Lucia and St Thomas, we did on our own, since we have been to both places several times. St Lucia, we went to the market right at the pier and in St Thomas, we walked to Downtown and did some shopping. We were in need of a Mt Dew, so we ate lunch at Pizza Hut in St Thomas. In Antigua we went to Nelson's Dockyard and an Island Tour. It was very nice, however, the reps at Nelson's Dockyard were uninterested in doing the tour when we got there and the tour was about 5 minutes that they gave us. We walked around on our own and learned more than what we were told from the rep.

Disembartkation was delayed at least an hour yesterday as we were docked in FLL at a smaller pier than what we went out of it. We also had learned from a few passengers as we were leaving the ship, that a passenger had passed away the night before we docked in Fll and also that the Emerald Princess was under a Yellow status for the Norvo Virus. I can't say if that information was true or not, since we were not effected by this, nor did we know anyone that was.

Overall, awesome cruise and can't wait until April 2010 for our next Princess Cruise.
