Dinner and Belly Dancing Show - Istanbul

Recommended Posts

We have 38 people from our cruise booked for a night out in Istanbul at Sultanas.

They are picking us up at the ship (in 2 buses) and includes dinner (upgraded menu) show and ride back to the ship (with a requested stop at the Blue Mosque for photo op) for 54 euros per person.

Hope this helps.

Will review when we get back (May 16th :D)

Are you doing this for the May 4 thru May 15 11 day cruise on the Celebrity Solstice? If so is there anymore room?

Yes..... saw you posted on the roll call...... check there for info. There is still room so hope to have you join us :D

I am a daily follower of the Istanbul forum on sister website tripadvisor, and there are many threads on those boards regarding belly dancing shows, with many recommending Orient House.

I have no firsthand experience, but we lucked out because Oceania's Nautica had Princess Zahara on board before our Istanbul sail-away.:)

Would like to know about folkloric show and belly dancer. We have at least 9 that are interested in doing something together the night before we board Nautica on Sept. 9, 2009. Anybody had experience getting everyone together on the night before boarding? Different hotels in Istanbul.

Since you specifically asked - I think I can post this website.

Also, have heard (don't have firsthand experience) but have heard that Orient House is a bit um'.....adult. Hopefully someone here has been and can confirm that or not. Just read a review (or 2) that said it was more than they bargained for.

We went to the dinner and show at the Orient House. Be prepared for a long evening. We really enjoyed the food, the folk dancing and the belly dancing. The MC called himself Mr. Wonderful. His name should have been Mr. Loves Himself and Doesn't Know When to Shut up. After all the music and dancing, he just went on and on. Maybe it was a cultural thing, but we didn't get it. Anyway, everything else was great fun.

Sorry,,,, seems this thread got buried..

We had a blast at Sultanas. They sent 2 nice buses to the ship to pick us up (we had 44 reserved for our night out in Istanbul).

Dinner theatre was nice altho a bit unusual as you go down stairs.

3 great bellydancers and 3 couples of folk dancers. Really good.

Show with audience participation (won't spoil it for you ;)) and we had a great time.

Food was really good too.

If you are looking for something different to do at night while in Istanbul.....this is it !
