samiam519 Posted April 21, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 21, 2009 The airport is about 15 miles from Port Tampa. A cab ride should be about $25-$30. You should be able to negotiate a flat fee from the airport. Just look for the taxi stand outside of baggage claim. The cruise terminal is right next door to the Tampa Aquarium. Have a great cruise. cruisincory Posted April 22, 2009 #4 Share Posted April 22, 2009 The flat fee last August from the Airport was $25. The way our cab driver drove, it seems like it only took 5 mins to get to the port. Be sure to buckle up. :-)

I believe there is also an aiport shuttle van service for $20/pp.

SeaPA1 Posted April 22, 2009 #7 Share Posted April 22, 2009 If you go the shortest route, it's about 10 miles; sometimes shortest isn't fastest though, since it involves more stoplights & side streets. If you hop on the interstate it's a little more, maybe 11 miles or so. Barring traffic issues, it takes around 15 minutes. Cab is a flat rate of $25 per cab. Five might be able to squeeze into a minivan style cab (same fare rate) depending on how much luggage you have.
tampacruiser Posted April 23, 2009 #8 Share Posted April 23, 2009 yeah, its definately 10 miles or less....I used to work near the airport and from my office to the downtown exit it was 8 miles, the port is probably less than a mile from the exit.
