Spin & Pilates on RCCL's Liberty

From what I can gather, these classes are offered on LOS? Is there an additional cost? A regular schedule? Is there generally any problem with getting a spot (or bike) in the classes? And finally, for regular spinners, are the pedals set up for clipless shoes? (Not sure I can afford the luggage weight of bringing them, but ... )

If this helps, the Independence of the Sea's, the classes do cost. There is a regular schedule, as to getting a bike you need to get your name on the list quick. All bikes had standard pedals with toe clips NO clipless pedals.

 

This said I must say the gym on this ship was very good and very well equiped.

That does help - I would figure LOS doesn't have clipless pedals if Independence doesn't. (I guess it makes sense because so few people would probably bring them any way).

Spinning classes are now $12 a go, up from $10 when we sailed last year!

Back from our wonderful cruise, and for anyone who's interested, Liberty's spin bikes were equipped for clipless shoes. (Clips on one side, toe straps on the other - just like our bikes at the gym.)

 

I used the gym every day, but never did make it to a spin class. I was too busy enjoying coffee on my balcony at 8 am when the morning classes were held!

My daughter and I did Pilates on Adventure of the Seas and it was $12 a piece but led by a cute trainer with a great Welsh accent. It was a good class.
