Barcelona Zoo

has anyone been and if so would you recommend? How long does it take to see most of the zoo?

 

Will be departing from BCN for our cruise, and coming in a day early.. will have our 2 children with us, and want to do things that they will also enjoy.

The Zoo is near the Picasso-Museum, so it is a good combination. An other nice thing to do with children is the Aquarium

Thanks. The aquarioum is our Plan B if it is a rainy day- is it mostly inside?

How old are the children? The reason I ask is that you can go to a zoo in most places and it would be a pity to miss something unique to Barcelona.

I'm sure kids of any age will enjoy the funicular ride up to the top of the highest point in Barcelona. The views are spectacular and there's a lovely church to visit. AND there's also a (very tame) funfair.

 

It's worth the trip for the views alone but I'm sure there would be something to appeal to all the family

Thank you for the suggestion. it always great to have options.

 

They are 12 and 2.. Which presents its own unique challenges!

 

We will definitely do more than the zoo, so this sounds like another great idea.
