Russia Visa info for our June 22 cruise

I have been to Russia before and it is not hard to get a tourist visa. We are lucky to be in Seattle where we have a consulate and we are going to use

They are in the same building as the consulate and can get the visa done for us in 1 week. The cost is $186 per person and you need to fill out the 2 page form just right.

 

This will be our first Seabourn cruise and looking forward to being on a smaller ship.

I will be interested to see how you succedd in getting your VISA. Who is going to issue your "invitation"? If you stayed in a hotel last time you were in Russia they probably issued it. In the case of Seabourn they have stated point blank that they do not provide invitation letters to their cruise passengers. Please keep us posted. TravelFlex the visa company supplies the letter as part of it's service. We should have our Visa's a week from Monday and will let everyone know how it goes.

In my experience it has always been easier to use an expeditor for getting visas to those countries that make it hard i.e. Russia, China, Brazil. It costs extra but saves so much time and energy.
