Disability boarding at Long Beach??

Just wondering if anyone out there knows if people with disablities are offered some kind of boarding assistance at the pier? I hear it's a mess to get on the ship. My mom and I are sailing next month and she has a 24/7 oxygen machine she has to drag along with her which makes it a bit difficult for her to stand in line for a long time. This is our first Carnival cruise. We usully go on NCL which have been great to us.

Yes, there is a special boarding assistant when you arrive, make sure you let Carnival know ahead of time. They have a special waiting area with wheel chair assistants and take you to a special elevator to by pass the general public boarding area.

 

I used this service a couple years ago for a four day sailing on the Paradase, after having recent back surgery. Also they will check with you for debarkcation assistant at the end of your cruise.
