FlLadybug Posted April 29, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2009 My hair dresser said she went to another Straw market in Nassau. She said you just tell the taxi you want to go there and they take you. She said they had a better selection of purses. Is there such a thing or did she drink too many Bahama Mamas?

The main straw market is located downtown right near the cruise ship docks and across the street from Senor Frogs...this is the one that has plenty of foe designer bags....there is also a MUCH smaller straw market on Paradise island. There's another straw market on Paradise Island at the Bahamian Centre. Not more of a selection, but less crowded. There is also another straw market across from the Cable Beach Hotels. Large selection, but not as crowded. Paradise Islands Ferry Dock ( where the water taxi's come in) have a market set up everyday by Sunday. You'll be able to bargain better downtown at the original.. but the others are not crowded and crazy hot.
