CrazyCruiseCanuck Posted May 3, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2004 Just became C&A members and have already used a magazine coupon for $200 off our cruise this October. To all of you seasoned C&A members....we are already looking at a cruise for May 2005 (boy, are we hooked! ) and we see that there is a coupon for a corresponding cruise this year. Does anyone know if there is a 'pattern' to the coupons offered? Are the same ships/cruises featured for coupons each year? Or does it seem to be random? Maybe it depends on how fast a ship fills (statistically) or whether an itinerary usually sells out? Just wondering....that $200 US coupon we used means a lot to us Canadians..and I'd love to think we could find another one later on in the year to help us with the next trip! caviargal Posted May 3, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 3, 2004 I have noticed that coupons are usually offered for sailings that are traditionally weaker sellers; you will not see high season or the newest ships with discounts. trigger Posted May 3, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 3, 2004 Caviargal, I beg to differ with you. We used our C&A coupon for the Mariner of the Seas. We booked back in February when the Mariner was approx. 4 months old. However, I do agree with you that they tend to have coupons for cruises that historically have been slow sellers. JMHO. CrazyCruiseCanuck Posted May 4, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted May 4, 2004 Our first magazine only had $50 coupons, as well. I think it must be an introductory thing. We just got Issue 2, 2004, and there was the $200 coupon for the Serenade 11-night Hawaiian cruise in October, which we have already booked. So you can see why we were so delighted!
Seaside2358 Posted May 4, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 4, 2004 Yep as far as newer ships not getting the coupons, not true. Several Jewel sailings were in the last magazine. Unfortunately not the one I'm on Until Jewel of The Seas<BR Sensation 3/99 Majesty of The Seas 12/
