john_l Posted May 1, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2009 This year the last minute prices are very high .Even the cruise on the Celebration leaving today was £640 for 7 days. The cost is usually £399 with just a week to go. June, the time I want to go, is even worse: £750 - £850. I usually get a decent cruise with Thomson for the £450 -£500 mark. I presume it's because they have higher demand? Maybe its the exchange rates and people want a UK based cruise with sterling on board? Anyone have any ideas why it is different this year? Cymro1953 Posted May 2, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 2, 2009 It's odd that the prices are so high, like you I was wondering why. But if you look at last minute cruises on the Destiny you can get one for £499 Berwyn
